Active Goals & Route

We will meet in El Paso, Texas on June 2nd and start the run with a ceremony on June 3rd near Chihuahua, Mexico. The run will end on June 19th in Teotihuacan, just outside of Mexico City. We will have a couple of built in rest days throughout the run, including two days before the World Peace and Prayer Day Ceremony on June 21st. After World Peace and Prayer Day, there will three more days of ceremonies and more sharing of dance, song, prayer and food. We will return to El Paso,Texas on June 26th. *Runners coming from Minnesota or nearby may be able to ride down in the vans for the run. Ask the run organizers for info on this.

We will leave Minneapolis on June 1, 2007. Sunday

June 3rd: leaving Nuevas Casas Grandes Chih following highway 10 ending on highway 45 in Ojo Laguna Chihuahua.

Monday, June 4th: leaving Ojo Laguna Chih. Following highway 45 to Chihuahua.

Tuesday, June 5th: leaving Chihuahua Chih.; highway 16d to Cuauhtemoc Chihuahua. (There we will proceed in vehicles to Carichic Chih)

Wednesday, June 6th: leaving Carichic we will run to Boycoyna ending at La Laguna Chih

Thursday, June 7th: in vehicles following highway 23 to Creel then to Guachochi Chih

Friday, June 8th: leaving Guachochi in vehicles following 23 to Hidalgo de Parral connecting with highway 45 to run to Jimenez Chih

Saturday, June 9th: leaving Jimenez following highway 49 to Torreon Coahuila

Sunday, June 10th: leaving Torreon following highway 40 to Cuencame Durango. In Cuencame following highway 40 we will precede in vehicles to Durango, Durango

Tuesday, June 12th: leaving Durango following highway 45 to Fresnillo, Zacatecas

Wednesday, June 13th: leaving Fresnillo, Zacatecas following highway 49 to Salinas Hidalgo, San Luis Potosi, preceding in vehicles to San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi

Thursday, June 14th: leaving San Luis Potosi following highway 57 to San Luis de la Paz Guanajuato, preceding in vehicles to Queretero, Queretero

Friday, June 15th: leaving Queretero following highway 57d to San Juan del Rio, Queretero

Sunday, June 17th: leaving San Juan del Rio Queretero following highway 57d to Tepeji del Rio, proceeding in vehicles to Tula, Hidalgo

Monday, June 18th: leaving Tula rejoining highway 57d to Tutitlan, Estdo. Mexico

Tuesday, June 19th: leaving Tutitlan to Teotihuacan, Estdo. Mexico.

Wednesday, June 20th-Monday June 25th: we will be in or near Mexico City and Teotihuacan.

Monday June 25th: Depart for El Paso, Texas and head home!
